The first 5 weeks will concentrate on the necessary techniques required to then undertake your own projects. You will learn, saw piercing, filling, drilling, hot and cold connections, texturing, forming and polishing. Within these weeks you will also be shown a basic introduction to enamelling and, if you like, try a cabochon bezel setting or tube setting.
We will supply saw blades, solder and copper to practice all the above techniques.
By week 4 you should be thinking of your final project, using some of the techniques you have learned. Discuss your ideas with the tutors to plan and purchase your own materials for your final project which will start after the half term break.
