Jewellery Making Classes for Beginners – Tuesday Block 2

Week 1and 2 will be spent learning the basic techniques to make your own jewellery. You will learn how to saw, pierce, file and texture using hammers and texture plates with the rolling mill.
You will make a pair of silver drop earrings using some of the techniques you learned.
Week 3 you will texture and hammer a piece of silver to produce your own silver band ring which you may want to learn how to oxidise it to emphasise the pattern you have created.
The next few nights will be spent practicing all the skills you have learned to saw and pierce a silver pendant.
We will supply the silver to make the 3 items of jewellery.
At the end of the 5 weeks you will leave the studio with at least 1 pair of earrings, a ring and a pendant all made by you. If you have time you might even be able to make a second pair of earrings.
